Southland Security Supervisor at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Southern, Southland Southland Hospital, covering the Southland regionSalary Band - $30.00 - $32.00 per hourPermanent full-time position (40 hours per week)Supporting our security team in keeping the hospital, its staff, patients, and visitors safeThis is a healthcare role, and the safety, wellbeing and security of our patients and staff is our top priority.Our security services play a key role in keeping people and we have an opportunity for an experienced security professional to step into the role of Security Supervisor for Southland.Mo te turanga - About the roleOur security team are the people that keep the hospital safe.Our primay role is 'Healthcare' - Looking after our patients.Secondary to that is 'Security' - Keeping everyone safe.As the Supervisor, you'll be responsible for a team of people that look after our patients, our visitors, and our staff. You'll carry out routine patrols, write reports, diffuse tense situations, and mentor the team. You'll be a peacemaker, a confident communicator and display kindness and helpfulness in everything you do.
