Solution Delivery Specialist - Disposals at Land Information New Zealand, Wellington Solution Delivery Specialist – Disposals Join us in Crown Property working in a diverse portfolio, as a Property Disposal expert,Apply your knowledge to assist in the Treaty Settlement and surplus Crown Land disposal process and,Flexible working environmentAs a Solution Delivery Specialist – Disposals at Toitu Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand, we are looking for people who are passionate in applying their experience and expertise to deliver work on behalf of New Zealand and our Treaty Partners. This role will be focussed on the disposal of property held for treaty settlement or surplus to Crown requirements following the requirements of the relevant legislation (Public Works Act 1981, Land Act 1948 etc). This is your opportunity to use your technical, relationship and project skills to implement and deliver a disposal programme in a highly experienced and expert team. You'll enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and connecting with a range of internal and external stakeholders, Iwi and technical subject matter experts.
You will be responsible for managing the disposal of a wide variety of crown property through a range of legislation such as the Public Works Act 1981, by applying your specialist property knowledge to delivery work programmes.
Our teams provides the leadership and direction for Crown-owned property, looking for opportunities to maximise these assets for the benefit of New Zealanders. Day-to-day, we manage about two million hectares of Crown land, including surplus Crown assets, commercial and residential properties, pastoral leases and forestry licences.
The role reports to the Leader, Project Delivery in the Crown Property and will work closely with the wider Crown Property team.
To be successful in this role, for theL2 Solution Delivery Specialistyou will have:
Relevant subject matter expertise in disposal process in Public Works Act 1981, Land Act 1948, New Zealand Railways Corporation Restructuring Act 1990 and various Treaty Settlement legislation.An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and the Treaty settlement process.Proven knowledge, experience and capability in managing complex or sensitive land related issues.Knowledge and experience of applying legislation and government policies affecting government owned land and the associated legal frameworks which enable them to operate,Ability to build and maintaining strong working relationships with a range of teams and key stakeholders and Iwi.High level written and verbal communication skills to provide information to a range of audiences.Experience managing projects & contracts with suppliers,The expected appointment range for this role is $85,000 – $100,000
