I am currently looking for someone who is passionate about development and wants to be part of a dedicated team learning new skills bringing a committed and fresh approach to development within this organisation. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders whilst building your career and expertise as a Developer.
You will be working with fellow Developers, Operation team members and Business owners to improve existing technologies and bringing new technology and tools to the business environment.
Responsibilities
Development of new and existing software for applications where required
Embracing new technology and standards, trends and development
Provide guidance to the business to get best benefit from designed and developed applications
A willingness to learn from fellow peers and introduce new ways of working
Embracing formalised methodologies and processes to manage the application development process
What You Need
Strong Java development experience
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Experience and knowledge in Agile methodology
Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle
Experience with application and web servers especially Tomcat
Familiarity with unit tests, integration tests and automated end to end testing
Experience with Source version control system (Git)
Experience with web development using MVC framework (struts, Spring), HTML5, JSON, CSS, JavaScript
Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS would be an advantage
Experience with SOAP, Rest API
