This is a full-time role based in Puriri House, New Plymouth. Youwill be working Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm. Whetu Marewa is a service that aims to build confidence,resilience and wellbeing in taiohi (young people), aged 12 to 24-years-old, whoare living with mild to moderate mental health and addiction-related issues andsocial stressors. The mobile service has an outreach approach, providingsupport from registered health professionals and youth workers in schools andcommunity clinics, and offering access to a range of supported interventionswhen needed.

As a Social Worker, you will be drawing on your experience in working withyoung people, and expertise from a range of treatment modalities to providetherapeutic interventions in supporting young people to build confidence,resilience, and well-being.
You will also: Be registered with Social Workers Registration Board New Zealand Experience working in mental health and addiction settings or similar The ability to work well with other services such as DHBs, PHOs, and the wider community and social sector Full New Zealand driver's license Current First Aid Certificate Ideally, you will have knowledge of the Health and Social Services sectors Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi Applications Close: Tuesday, 7th May 2024.
