Social and Wellness Centre Coordinator | Kerikeri Work closely with Village Management and our residents.About the roleWe're looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing energetic team player to work alongside our residents at our Oakridge Villas in Kerikeri. You will be responsible for running the Wellness Centre, to assist our residents to get access to external home-based support services (Personal cares and household support). You will also organise and coordinate activities and outings for our residents, working closely with the Village Manager and the Village resident committee.This is a part-time role - 24 hours per week.Some of the great things you will be doing:Arranging Health appointments and coordinating with local providers to ensure residents receive the services they need.Working proactively with the Care Home Nurse Manager to facilitate a positive customer journey into aged residential careOrganizing special events and outings for our residents.Driving our Village van and escorting residents on excursions.Engaging with our residents and family members.Connecting with community groups and supporting the village to run activities.About youWe are looking for a sociable, outgoing, creative thinker who can connect our residents to local services and organize great events for them. Other things that will make you successful in the role:You will need to be an excellent people person who enjoys working with the older adult, with an ability to maximize resident participation in activities.You will have loads of initiative, excellent time management skills and the ability to work with autonomy.The ability to use technology with confidence is an essential.Having a Full and clean Driver's License to drive our village vanCurrent First Aid Certificate is also preferred, but we can support you to obtain this.About usAt Metlifecare we create homes and communities.
