We are seeking a motivated Service Manager to join a well-established and high performing Northland team working alongside people in the adult mental health sector based at Kotuku and Corks Road Residential services.
Both services provide recovery orientated support and rehabilitation for up to 5 clients at each service, with complex and enduring mental health and support needs. We operate 24/7 and work in collaboration with our clients and their whanau to assist with developing skills towards independency.
Strong leadership, strengthening stakeholder relationships and developing networks will be an essential part of the role as well as the day-to-day staff coaching and mentoring.
You will work within a supportive team of other Service Managers based in Whangarei and be participating in an on-call roster.
Permanent full-time role| Flexibility both waysIdeally you will have the following background:
Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7) e.g. Bachelor's in Management, Social Services, Psychology, Nursing, or equivalent commensurate experienceAn in-depth knowledge and experience in working with clients who have high and complex needs and a minimum of 2 years' experience of working in a mental health or social services sectorCoaching and mentoring experience to bring the best out of our support workersAt least one year' management experience including managing peopleMust have full New Zealand Driver's LicenseWorked positively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve service objectivesCurrent registration with a professional body covered by HPCA 2003 Act, Social Work Registration, Nursing or Occupational Therapist and a current APC (desirable)Ability to maintain better work life balance as this role operates between Monday - Friday with flexibility that goes both waysAdditional paid leave allowances including, 3 wellbeing days, 5 days paid study leave and long service leaveSupportive team and manager with the opportunity for group supervision and co-reflectionPaid maintenance of annual registration (APC)Wellbeing subsidies and access to the use of our other services such as counselling, budgeting, and mental health workshopsAccess to a work vehicle, company phone and laptopWorking in a truly values-based organisation - with an open, trusting, and inclusive work cultureNau te rourou, naku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi| With your food basket and my food basket the people will thrive.
