About the opportunity
This leadership opportunity works across Southland and the Otago regions, including north Otago and Central Otago and leads and drives a large community focussed multi-disciplinary oral health team. This role has a strong strategic, service development and quality improvement focus that will see you working in partnership across the health system, to align with our vision and values.
No two days in this role will be the same as you will be managing a high performing team who value patient centred care. Your strong leadership skills will be invaluable to the success of your team. Key responsibilities are a focus on excellence in Business Planning and Service Delivery, Staff Management and Planning, Financial and Strategic Management and Quality and Risk Management and streamlining other systems and processes within the service. Some of the services are provided on our behalf by the Dental School which means excellent stakeholder engagement and contract management skills are essential.
About you
With tertiary qualifications (ideally in Health or Management), and leadership experience in a similar and relevant position elsewhere, your contribution will be valued and appreciated. You can't do this alone however, so your ability to lead and engage, and your approachability and commitment to success will be evident in the roles you've held previously and your aspirations for the future.
