We are well known for our premium wines which have outperformed on the national and international wine stage.To continue this record, we are seeking a highly motivated, passionate Senior Winemaker with a commitment to quality to run the winery at Hawkes Bay.Reporting to the Chief Winemaker based at the Katikati winery the role requires:Management of our winery laboratoryManagement of all systems and records for winery compliance and accreditationsWinemaking duties in the cellar, as requiredManage our sustainability programmeHealth and Safety leadershipManage vintage operations, including but not limited to fruit receival, crushing, pressing and fermentationMaintain existing and new relationships with external suppliers of winery consumables and equipmentUndertake regular benchmarkingManage vintage operations including but not limited to fruit receival, crushing, pressing and fermentationMaintain existing and new relationships with external suppliers of winery consumables and equipmentSkills:A qualification in winemaking or similarExperience in winemaking and/or lab management in a leadership roleA strong customer and quality focusTeam orientation and leadership skillsExperience using winery software programmesHave a positive attitude and hands-on approachManage vintage operations, including but not limited to fruit receival, crushing, pressing and fermentationMaintain existing and new relationships with external suppliers of winery consumables and equipmentAbility to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a small teamOnly people eligible to work in this country should apply for this position.
