Senior Treasury Accountant (Hedge Accounting)ASB's Treasury & Financial Markets Accounting team provides financial information and control to the Bank's Treasury and Global Markets activities. As Senior Treasury Accountant - Hedge Accounting, you will report to the Senior Manager - Hedge Accounting, however you will have an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of finance support of the Global Markets and Treasury operations of ASB as well as the CBA NZ Branch. This includes daily and monthly reporting, analysis and commentary and regulatory reporting.
You will develop a deeper understanding into how the Bank manages its financial risks, and how these activities impact the Bank's balance sheet and P&L. The primary focus of this role will be on end-to-end hedge accounting and reporting and production of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual Group, Statutory and Regulatory disclosures also involving treasury and financial markets instruments.
As part of an energetic and supportive team, you will engage and build relationships with other areas of the business, contribute to the continual enhancement of the financial control environment, and become a trusted advisor on core financial information under your responsibility.
