This role is This is a key role in one of our Agile Scrum teams that combines skills in software test automation with an understanding of networking technologies and electronics, allowing us to deliver quality software frequently. Day-to-day tasks will be. including requirements analysis, test case design, automated test implementation (Python), framework maintenance, test result analysis and defect investigation. scope for some cross-functional work in embedded software development. manual testing and/or software release administration. automated software testing expert within scrum team. analyze software testing needs, contribute to software test plans, and maintain test coverage reports. design, create, execute, and maintain automated software test solutions. analyze nightly test results, identify defects and regressions, assist team to resolve any problems and deliver a solution. contribute to a cross functional team – take opportunities to teach and to learn from other team members. bring best practice automated test engineering to the team's work. contribute towards software product release meetings and release decisions. contribute towards continuous improvement of automated testing practices, including working with other Software Test Automation engineers to prioritize and implement automated testing framework improvements. liaise with other engineering team members as required (digital design, RF engineering, software, and network management products). prepare Engineering Releases and Release Candidates and release to key stakeholders, as required. About you : We are currently seeking a talented Automation Test Engineer to join our innovative team. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks and tools, as well as experience in software testing methodologies. You will work closely with development teams to design, implement, and execute automated test scripts, as well as analyze test results and identify areas for improvement. Ideally, the person would be familiar with the Agile Scrum software development process and is oriented to cooperative teamwork and delivering great results. Skill and experience Knowledge of networking protocols and experience with the associated test equipment. Source Control and Issue Tracking tools (GIT, JAMA, JIRA, etc.). Experience with test automation frameworks. Manual testing experience. Embedded Software development experience. Understanding of digital electronics and wireless technologies. ISTQB and/or Cisco CCNA Certification. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Use of protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, Ethernet and Bit Error Rate testers and other test equipment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Coaching and Mentoring skills. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor or Master of Science or Engineering. Non-graduates may be considered where a proven track record as an effective software test automation engineer can be provided. Why Aviat?
