Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details:Job Summary: The Senior Systems Analyst shall be responsible for the support and system administration activities necessary for the efficient management and availability of the system and will need to work closely with all aspects of Cubic Operation, Engineering, Test teams and the Client. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Work collaboratively within a team of System Analysts.Identify, investigate and resolve technical issues. This includes issue definition, impact assessment and reporting and remediation activitiesPerform implementation and refinement of monitoring and event solutionsMaintain and administer the systems so as to minimize outages and down time meet availability and reliability KPI's and SLA'sSupport release and change management activities for new solutions and software releasesSupport security patching activitiesEnsure coordination of testing including facilitation to resolve system issuesSet up and manage the administration of security controls for the system to comply with quality and security requirements to ensure integrity of the systemsPerform analysis of system performanceDevelop and recommend appropriate improvements as part of continuous improvementMaintain system documentation where requiredAssume additional technical responsibilities providing necessary support to junior team membersTake on an SME or technical leadership role where requiredGeneral Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with Cubic's Quality Management SystemComply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and proceduresComply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisationsComply with Cubic Human Resources ProceduresOther duties as requestedMinimum Job Requirements: Qualifications Essential:
Degree in a related IT/Computer Science discipline or equivalent experience Skills/Experience/Knowledge Essential:
Minimum 4 years experience in systems analysis and design Device, Customer and Payment Gateway SystemsMinimum 4 years experience in supporting Unix, Linux or Microsoft environmentsKnowledge of SQL Queries and reportsDemonstrated ability to manage systems in a multiple server environmentWorking Knowledge of MS Visio, MS Project and Microsoft OfficeSoftware development experience with C# & Java applicationsExperience in PCI-DSS and/or ISO2700 based system security processes.Desirable:
Previous experience supporting CRM platforms, IVRs, public facing websites, online payment systems and integration softwarePrevious experience supporting device based application solutions for payment systemsExperience with in-house developed applications.Previous experience in the development and operation of transport ticketing systems.Personal Qualities Must be able and willing to travelA self-motivated and proactive individual able to work with minimal supervisionAble to build and maintain client relationshipsProven ability to pick up new skills quickly and effectivelyPossess a methodical and structured approach to analysing business processesAbility to effectively communicate at all levelsWork within a growing team, which will require cross skilling to support periods of leaveAble to autonomously with minimal supervisionAbility to be on-call as the role requires some after hours and weekend workCondition of Employment: Successful outcome of a National Police Check
