Job Description You will use your Health & Safety systems expertise to advance Waihi's risk management practices. The principle focus is to drive mature performance against ISO (9001, 45001, 3100), HSE corporate standards, and New Zealand Legislation. In addition, the Senior Systems Specialist will ensure ongoing compliance and alignment of site document structure and safety training management systems. Provide specialist technical support to the H&S and L&D teams. Maintenance of the INX (InControl) Health and Safety management system, to ensure that it fulfils safety requirements. Facilitate the embedding of systems that accurately define, monitor, and analyse operational risk profiles, control strategies, and control effectiveness. Apply appropriate risk management methodologies to identify operational risks and robust critical control strategies. Develop consistency across PHMP's/PCP's and ensure currency of review is in line with regulations. Provide H&S direction and technical expertise in relation to risk management, event reporting, safety leadership and incident investigation. Management & professional development of a Document Controller. Oversee site Waihi, H&S and L&D reporting. Qualifications Qualifications in Health and Safety Management preferred. Underground and/or Surface Mining experience strongly preferred. Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles. Minimum of 5 years practical health, safety and training experience within heavy industry. A high level of competence in Microsoft Suite and specialist Health & Safety software.
