Senior Sourcing Specialist - Wellington - Fixed Term at Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wellington - Wairarapa Bring your excellent experience in sourcing and procurement to this varied position where you will gain experience in large and complex procurements.Mo tenei turanga - About the role:Working within the procurement team the Senior Sourcing Specialist is responsible for a wide range of duties to lead and manage sourcing within Fire and Emergency NZ. This will include leading sourcing events and initiatives for significant fleet replacement projects, end to end procurement events, running steering groups, and negotiating contracts. You will also be responsible for developing recommendation reports and writing procurement reports.This is a 12-month fixed term contract.Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role:Bring your excellent experience in sourcing and procurement to this diverse and varied position. You will have the ability to take the lead and run sourcing projects and steering groups to a deadline. It would be an advantage to have experience in both commercial and fleet procurement within the public sector.To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will:Proven experience in large or complex procurement or sourcingDemonstrated communication and writing abilityProficiency in the Microsoft Suite, especially with ExcelExcellent negotiation and stakeholder management skillsA strong understanding of Government procurement processes and policyThe salary range for this role is $112,415 - $124,906 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.Ko wai matou - who are we?Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity responsible for reducing unwanted fires, responding to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents, natural disasters, and supporting increased community resilience.Our vision is to build stronger communities and protect what matters most to the people within them.
