The work we do makes a difference to the lives of New Zealanders.This Senior Solicitor role is a fixed term/secondment until 28 June 2025. The position has been established to provide additional legal support to the Legal Services Team to support projects associated with legislation reform workstreams, response and recovery from emergency events and increased corporate work.The role would suit someone with at least 7 years PQE, and who:has experience providing on advice on a range of corporate matters (contracts, grants, delegations, health and safety) and also has an interest in supporting other legal matters facing the department (Inquiries, legislation reform work and emergency management response and recovery workstreams);orhas experience or an interest in emergency and crises management or national security interests - including legislation reform work and Inquiry workThe role enables the opportunity to work closely on a day-to-day basis with our Executive Leadership Teams and Chief Executives - a great opportunity for a person wanting to take the next step in their career.Ta matou e tuku | What we offerWe pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and understand the importance of fostering a working environment where excellence is recognised and where staff are encouraged to develop their own talents and potential.
