Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Our client is on the lookout for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer!

About you:

Possess over 5 years of experience in deploying, configuring, monitoring, and supporting distributed production and non-production systems within cloud environments such as AWS, demonstrating a robust comprehension of security, reliability, scalability, and platform management principles.Demonstrate proficiency in at least one scripting language.Have substantial experience managing applications on Kubernetes clusters running on Linux.Be adept in utilisingTerraform, Vault, Prometheus, EKS, and various other cloud-first tools.Have a track record of working in teams that employ infrastructure-as-code practices, automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery for environment management.Be familiar with GitHub Actions, Helm, and ArgoCD.Exhibit expertise in designing and implementing cloud network architectures.Identify manual tasks and devise automated tooling solutions to streamline execution processes.
About the role:

Designing, building, maintaining, and supporting cloud infrastructures using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code in AWS environments.Collaborating with engineering teams to develop highly automated, reliable, scalable, and observable cloud services.Proposing, designing, and implementing strategies to enhance the security of cloud systems.Working with other SREs to identify shared components across engineering teams, improving productivity in areas like developer tooling, build automation, provisioning, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident processes.Producing clean, consistent, and well-organisedcode for automating infrastructure, builds, deployments, and configurations on the production stack:
- AWS or another established cloud provider
- Elastic Search and Prometheus
- Kubernetes and Docker
- NodeJS
- Terraform, Vault, and Consul
