About the Role
We’re growing our team and are looking for a Physical Security Senior Technician to provide physical security, access control and video management design, installation and support services. This will include security design, proposal writing, build expertise and experience to complete physical security projects focusing on the Genetec Unified Platform. This role has a primary focus in the area of access control and IP Video implementation services but also encompassing customer’s total physical security requirements.
This role is also expected to assist in the configuring, programming access control, installation, delivery, documentation and support of physical security solutions services to our customers. There is a requirement provide some support coverage under an on-call roster to cover 24 x 7 support services for our customer’s environments.
What you’ll do
Engaging with clients to gather requirements and/or to discuss technical solutions to their security and or other business issues
Design of security solutions utilising solutions from Genetec, Panasonic, Axis, Vivotek, IpsoTek and related security products
Implementation, cabling and configuration of security products
Attending security product training and passing the relevant certification exam
Contribute to and agree project timeline / tasks / estimates/ scope in project kick-off workshop
Ensure all design and as built documentation is delivered in a timely manner and to the expected standard
Provide guidance and mentoring as required
What you’ll bring
Five plus years of security industry and access control experience
Would prefer some Genetec design and implementation experience
Current security industry and product qualifications
Customer support skills for Access Control and CCTV solutions up to 3rd Level Support
Security solution builds, configuration and installation
Understanding of technologies solutions offered by the team
Certification in one or more of the areas listed above
NZ PSPLA Security Technician registered
