In this role, you will play a critical leadership role in the commercial and revenue management teams at Air NZ.This is a fixed-term opportunity until April 2025 based at Auckland Airport. Day to day, you will take the lead in defining commercial strategy, developing tactical recommendations for revenue optimisation, and driving the identification of key growth opportunities across our major route groups. Leading from the front with your strategic thinking, you will help to bring our Kia Mau strategy to life by bringing the focus to airfreight performance, advising senior stakeholders and working cross-functionally across marketing, revenue management and networks to deliver on key commercial targets.Your leadership, expertise and insights will directly shape the way we operate, driving positive impact on the Air New Zealand revenue and EBIT targets. The role you will play: Monitor market trends and Air NZ performance to inform commercial outlook and strategy Conduct analytical deep dives to understand performance trends and identify opportunities for revenue optimisation Collaborate with stakeholders across the pricing, inventory management and networks functions to ensure an aligned commercial approach to managing route-group performance Develop business cases for new initiatives and support the implementation of key commercial growth opportunities Build the commercial acumen of the business through sharing performance updates and insights, developing frameworks and leading commercial discussions Provide commercial insight and advice to inform executive decision making and commercial direction.Our ideal candidate will have: 5-7 years of experience in a commercial role or similar, aviation experience preferred but not required Deep analytical abilities Collaborative style and ability to manage complex stakeholders Track record of leading high performing teams to deliver on commercial outcomes Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment on challenging business decisions If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply now!
