Senior Resource Consent Planner

As a Senior Planner this role undertakes assessment of the more complex resource consent applications and related management of environmental planning. You will provide mentoring to colleagues and support to the Development Planning Team Leader. The role will also provide reports and recommendations to Council committees and provide advice to support Council's strategic, regulatory and operations functions. To be successful in this role you will have: Significant knowledge and practical application within the planning industry (5+ years). A planning degree or similar, and membership of a professional association, or working towards it. An understanding of key Local Government legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to build sound relationships and give advice. Strong literacy and report writing skills, with high attention to detail. Great organisational and prioritising skills, a drive to get the job done.
