$75,884 - $113,826 includes all benefitsWe are currently seeking a Senior Public Transport Planner to join our Metlink Network and Customer, Network Design team. This is a full time, permanent position based in our central Cuba Mall office.About the role:In your role as Senior Public Transport Planner, you will undertake reviews of the public transport network to ensure it meets community needs and encourages patronage growth.You will be involved in all aspects of the network reviews from designing, implementing, and managing effective routes to timetables for our Wellington Region transport network, across Bus, Ferry and Rail. You will also ensure the quality and integrity of the designs and datasets are maintained.You will proactively share knowledge and expertise across the team, and take an active role in mentoring and coaching others.Skills and Experience Required:To be successful in this role and to support the Group to meet its vision you will:Love to continuously learn.Have the outcome for the customer at the forefront of everything you do.Have exceptional attention to detail.Have previous experience in applying public transport planning and design methods.Have experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers, utilising your communication skills to deliver messages to these groups.Knowledge of local and national Government transport policy and processes would be an asset.About Metlink:At Metlink we work with our transport operators to deliver over 40 million travel boardings a year.
