We are a fast-growing and well-respected multi-disciplinary consultancy providing a range of complementary services including Crown property advisory, land acquisition, disposal, legalisation, planning services and landscape architecture. We help central and local government agencies, utility providers, corporate and private clients across the country from our offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Hawke's Bay, New Plymouth, Wellington, and Christchurch. Sectors we operate in include, roading, rail, housing, gas, electricity, water, education, recreation and more.WHAT YOU'LL DOBased out of our Newmarket office, you will work across a range of significant infrastructure projects in Auckland and Northland, delivering great project and community outcomes for our clients. You will have great stakeholder relationship and negotiation skills, excellent attention to detail and be a team player willing to contribute to the company and our culture. Key tasks associated with the role will include:Lead landowner negotiations for the acquisition of land and property rights under the Public Works Act 1981; for a range of infrastructure projectsUndertake stakeholder engagement and public consultation exercisesProperty due diligence, property strategies and property cost estimationPreparing client and Land Information NZ (LINZ) reportsProvide advice under the Public Works Act and Local Government ActManagement of property and multidisciplinary projectsWork as part of a team, be accountable and take responsibility for your contribution to a project delivered by multiple team members.SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALITIESThe role will be suited to either an experienced intermediate or a senior property professional, who ideally has the skills and experience below:A relevant property, legal or related tertiary qualificationIdeally 5+ years of property experience relevant to the rolePublic Works Act and/or Local Government Act knowledgeAbility to build a strong rapport with stakeholders and show empathyExcellent report writing skills and attention to detailStrong time management and organisational skillsAbility to multi task and keep a cool head under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Excel and ProjectAbility to problem solve and think creatively to find solutionsComprehensive understanding of the property industry and a strong technical understanding of property and relevant legislation;Current clean Full Drivers LicenceIf you are ready for a new challenge, want more variety in your work and want to be part of a motivated and growing company, then this role could be for you.FOR THE RIGHT PERSON, WE OFFER:A flexible work environmentA company bonus schemeCareer progression opportunitiesAn exciting role with a variety of workA supportive office and company cultureSupport and incentives to obtain LINZ accreditationConference attendance and payment of professional membership feesIf you think you have what it takes to hit the ground running in this exciting and varied property role, please apply for this position by submitting a covering letter and CV.
