A little bit about us - Transport Rebuild East Coast (TREC) is an alliance which has been set up to plan, organise and deliver much of the recovery and rebuild work needed on the highway and rail networks, together with local businesses and contractors across Te Tairawhiti (Gisborne) and Te Matau a Maui (Hawke's Bay).Our alliance members include Waka Kotahi, KiwiRail, Downer, Fulton Hogan, and Higgins. Senior Project Manager – Waikare GorgeThe Waikare Gorge is a key point on the journey of State Highway 2 (SH2) between Napier and Opotiki. After Cyclone Gabrielle, the old bridge spanning the gorge was destroyed, severing connection between Wairoa and Napier. After three months, a temporary Bailey bridge was installed while work on the long-term realignment project continues.The realignment is a critical project in making the state highway safer and less likely to suffer closures.We are now looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the way across this major project, from execution through to successful delivery. What we need from you:BE or NZCE or significant industry experience with familiarity with NZS3910, Construction Contracts ActMinimum 10 years relevant experience across major roading/infrastructure works to the value of $250M.Experience and understanding of job pricing including materials, labour and plant and associated margin/profit calculations.Well-developed programming and construction project delivery skillsAble to deliver business and strategic plans – project specific.Ability to influence and facilitate difficult discussions, handle conflict and work under pressure.If you are interested, and would like to learn more, please submit your CV and you will be contacted for a confidential chat.We'll be needing more people as the project work develops so reach out if you have an interest in joining TREC in the future.
