With several medium to large structural projects in the healthcare sector underway, the business is looking for a Senior Project Manager to be based in the Waikato, responsible for taking the lead on their delivery.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager your role will draw extensively on your ability to lead medium to large design and build contracts through to practical completion.
Providing project management expertise, you will more specifically be responsible for:
Providing project leadership and direct management to a team of project managers and contractors of varying levels, across the full project lifecycleManaging clients' expectations and influencing their key decisionsContract management covering both client and multiple contractorsPredicting future project requirements and challenges to ensure all project milestones are metDriving all project control activities from a client-side perspective such as start-up quality plans and close-out procedures, health and safety and milestone quality assurance reviewsActively monitoring the financial performance of the project delivery.Your Background A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in construction/engineering or a discipline complimentary to project managementProven senior project management experience in construction management &/or consultancyStrong local relationships coupled with proven business development experienceDemonstrated experience and success independently leading and managing teams and medium-large sized projectsExperience in the construction of medium – large projects such as prisons, airports, healthcare or education facilities would be beneficial.Your Personal Attributes A solution focused, influencerA methodical thinker with a calm demeanorExceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be succinctOutstanding relationship building, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.Speak to us about joining this leading project management consultancy and becoming a key and valued member of their New Zealand wide network.
