This company believes in giving their staff exposure to a range of projects to enable them to diversify and develop their career.Your new roleAs an experienced project manager with experience in New Zealand, you will have overall responsibility for the quality and financial performance of projects in this area. The role is based in Dunedin but may require some travel within the South Island on occasion. A large part of your role will be getting the best out of your own employees and sub-contractors to deliver profitable outcomes in a timely and safe manner. You will be a natural at forming strong working relationships with stakeholders. The workload includes civil structures, drainage, road and rail bridges, and airport maintenance/construction.What you'll need to succeedExperience in major infrastructure works at a senior level - in particular within civil engineering / constructionStrong people management skills - managing and directing large high performing teams to achieve their best.Excellent commercial acumen - ensuring our projects run to cost and are profitableExceptional planning skills - the ability to ensure multiple tasks are running to time across one or more projects.Demonstratable experience in dealing with key stakeholders - clients, safety & environment regulators, Iwi groups and more.A strong commitment to Health & Safety, ensuring everyone on site goes home safe everyday.What you'll get in returnThis is a great opportunity to join a leading contractor and progress within a well-structured company.
