This role is responsible for leading teams to deliver projects that span across one or more projects.
THE ROLE:
Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment
Manage assigned civil projects and project teams, from tender process to completion, ensuring that priorities and deadlines are achieved
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources
Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned time frames
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, communications, resources, budget, risks and issues
Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders
Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
Manage any risks and corrective measures.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other construction specialists
Work with the Regional and Civil Commercial Managers to manage financial aspects of projects to protect the business's interest,
Provide technical support and assist in other areas where appropriate
THE CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university;
A formal Project Management qualification is desirable.
Significant post qualification experience in the Project Management of water/infrastructural projects

Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong leadership experience and customer engagement skills
Relevant experience of the transport (road/rail), water and general civil infrastructure projects.
