Senior Project Coordinator at Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People, Wellington - Wairarapa Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People has a unique mandate of having responsibility to steward change across Government, while commissioning disability support services, as well as transforming how these services are delivered. Disabled people expected to have greater choice and control over the supports and services they receive to lead their best life. As the Senior Project Coordinator, you will provide administration support to implement and operationalise important projects within Whaikaha. You will work closely with the Project and Programme Mangers to ensure that projects run smoothly, all work is well planned, efficiently and use the work planning tools and methods to manage, monitor and report on results. You will provide proactive, high-quality administrative and coordination support to team members including: • documenting and tracking key project registers including timelines, actions, risks and engagements • organising meetings with internal and external partners, including agendas, taking minutes, and drafting/proofing associated material • Presenting project and programme report information in PowerPoint and word This is a 1 year fixed term role. Ko wai koe | About You: You are an experienced and detail-oriented Project Coordinator looking for a new career opportunity or the next challenge. You have the ability to provide strong coordination support across complex programmes of work and possess excellent prioritisation skills, use initiative, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. You have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft office products including, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and MS Project. You will be confident providing support to Managers and collaborating with the wider organisation to achieve project outcomes. Your strong relationship management skills will see you establish, build, and maintain respectful, effective working relationships. You will be comfortable working in an environment where you will have the freedom to manage your work in a way that works for you. You will have strong initiative to help where you can best add value. To undertake this role successfully, you will be a disabled person or be able to establish credibility and trust with the disability community, as well as having empathy and an understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.
