Senior Professional Liability Underwriter

The growth opportunities in our Professional Liability insurance channel are significant. We're now looking for a dedicated Senior Professional Liability Underwriter, with strong established relationships in the New Zealand broking market to join our hardworking Specialty Trading team. This role would be perfect for someone who thrives on proactively getting out into the field, leveraging their strong existing connections. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth within our Professional Liability insurance channel, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who excels in face-to-face interactions and is passionate about expanding their network in the industry. Reporting to our Head of Professional Liability Trading, you'll be responsible for: Building and developing relationships with key broker partners Delivering key renewals Underwriting new business and referrals Driving growth and supporting the development of the Professional Liability portfolio strategy The ideal candidate will have: A minimum of 5 years experience as a Professional Liability Insurance Trader in the NZ market with a strong history of growing a profitable portfolio of business A proven track record within the NZ insurance market with the ability to balance risk and commerciality. Solid liability underwriting background with a strong preference for professional indemnity and directors and officers underwriting experience The flexibility to adapt and evolve with our growing business and to make commercial business decisions at pace.
