Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We have an exciting opportunity as a Senior Procurement Specialist for our Public Transport & Customer Procurement team to work with our internal business units and our external suppliers and partners to help plan, source and manage the services, goods and works that are required to deliver Bus services.

Proactively support multiple business units in delivering their prioritiesImprove commercial discipline and value for moneyManage procurement and supply chain riskImproving the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processesThis role is fundamental in implementing effective procurement and supply market strategies.
Ko koe tenei | About you To demonstrate support for this process, we are seeking an ambitious and talented individual who can demonstrate a clear understanding of procurement methodologies and processes, can provide evidence of commercial acumen, is risk aware and has an understanding of how to analyse relevant supply markets.
You will be the Procurement lead for key projects. You will manage procurement resource to ensure project requirements are supported and agreed timelines are met. You will provide guidance, leadership and advice on Procurement. You will help to lead, motivate and develop a team of Procurement professionals to deliver our strategy and achieve agreed targets.
Your previous knowledge and experience in developing and fostering strong business relationships with suppliers and stakeholders in a complex environment will be the key to your success in this role.
To be considered for this senior role, you will need to offer:
Minimum 10 years in a Procurement or Commercial -related role, including 5 years at an intermediate level.Tertiary degree (e.g., BCom, BEng or LLB), or equivalent qualification in a business-related discipline.Previous accountability for significant spend with experience across category planning and management, sourcing, contract and/or supplier relationship management.Keen to make a direct contribution to delivering high quality services for Tamaki Makaurau This role will be based in the Auckland CBD with Flexible Working.
