Senior Procurement Specialist, ICT - Procurement, Supply Chain and HTM Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Join Te Whatu Ora at a key time of change where you will meaningfully contribute to our kaupapa of creating a more equitable, accessible, cohesive and people-centered health system. Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity The primary purpose of the Senior Procurement Specalist role is to lead a range of procurement functions including the development and execution of procurement strategies for the relevant categories and sub-categories. In this role you will be tasked with developing sourcing strategies that manage probity and reflect the category goals. You will manage national, regional and local procurement sourcing activities including: exemption management, procurement plans development, RFx processes, collaborative procurement, and/or secondary procurement processes. This particular opportunity is based in our ICT Commercial team, and will involve procurement of commercial business applications. You are a competent and experienced procurement professional looking to take the next step in your career. You are comfortable dealing with complex commercial environments and categories and can bring your knowledge and experience to bear on difficult problems. A background or experience in healthcare and/or Data and Digital work environments is strongly preferred. We are particularly interested to speak to people who have had experience in end to end procurement of large HR (human resources) enterprise systems. Location is flexible. To provide you with support in this role we have a preference for candidates based in the following centres: Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton, Dunedin or Auckland. Commercial or procurement experience 5+ years Proven negotiation and contract management experience 5+ years  Extensive experience with total cost of ownership / whole of life costing model  Extensive experience in management of complex multi-stakeholder portfolios  In depth knowledge of end to end procurement practice  A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
