The role: We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Senior PowerBI / SQL Server / MS Azure Data Lake Analyst for a dynamic and varied permanent role in one of New Zealand's most exciting BI Teams based in Christchurch. We are seeking a dynamic individual with both leadership and technical skills to take on the role of Senior Business Intelligence Analyst within our client's Business Intelligence Team.
You will work alongside the Principal Software Engineer, BI Analysts, Data Warehouse specialists and solution architects to lead changes and improvements in Business Intelligence (BI) to increase BI capability across the organisation. You will analyse data and create information visualisations for internal and external customers to support decision-making and your expertise with Power BI will enable you to work within our client's landscape of SQL Server Data Warehouse and MS Azure data lake.
To be successful in this position you will have: Experience to input strategically into the development of BI, the information strategy and information architectureCommunication and interpersonal skills to connect with the customer and promote self-service analytics and to guide and coach othersBusiness experience to understand what the customer is trying to achieveAnalytical skills to process technical business dataPresentation skills to deliver best practice visualisation solutions.Our client sources most of their data for reporting from our SQL Enterprise Data Warehouse, which in turn is updated from various core applications such as SAP S4HANA, SAP C4C and GIS.
