Senior Payroll Specialist

Senior Payroll Specialist
Company:

Kiwi Rail

Details of the offer

KiwiRail is New Zealand's national railway, employing almost 4,000 talented people in a wide range of business functions and are moving through a period of significant change as we embark on an investment and growth strategy to reposition rail as a key link in New Zealand's transport infrastructure. This is an exciting time for us, and we're looking to grow!
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to expand their existing skill-set. In this role, you will work with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate payroll reporting is produced, while facilitating process changes. You will also use your knowledge to support the processing and delivery of payroll services across KiwiRail. In short, we will look to you to ensure our team processes are working efficiently for us to achieve our goals.
So, who are we looking for?
We're after a real strategic thinker who is keen to progress their Payroll career by getting stuck into some key projects. You'll have a strong background in reporting and analysis but still be happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into BAU where needed. You will also have a keen eye for detail, a thirst for knowledge as well as the ability to always be on the lookout for ways that we can improve our processes. We want you to come with a fresh perspective on how we can be more efficient, so we'd love to have someone on board who is keen to add value and respectfully challenge how our processes currently work.
What you need to be successful:
The ability to provide concise and logical analysis and making/presenting recommendations
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Experience with data and have the ability to produce reports
Working knowledge of the Holidays Act is advantageous
What we're offering:
A great opportunity to progress your career, add value and gain some valuable skills along the way
5 weeks annual leave
Competitive salary package
Further development and support
Access to discounted travel, holiday homes and health insurance
If this sounds like you and you are keen to truly add value to our organisation, then we would love to hear from you - apply online today.
