About the role: This Senior role is fixed term for seven months to support getting initiatives off the ground with the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the people of Selwyn District Council.
You will be providing senior level, high quality development and capability support, as well as ensuring our ways of leading are the most impactful. Specific activities you will find yourself doing include:
Liaising with Managers to identify leadership development opportunities. Designing effective organisational development initiatives with clear outcomes and real impact. Developing, sourcing, and implementing leadership and change management development. Measuring and reporting on the impact of development activities and learning. About you: You will bring your solid senior experience and willingness to get stuck in, learn and try new things, that will support our people performing at their highest level.
You will also have:
The ability to create and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication skills both verbally and written, being able to tailor the message for the audience. Workshop development, facilitation, and presentation skills. Strong change management capability and ability to influence and gain buy-in. Experience utilising tools and processes to help drive both performance and development. Knowledge of adult learning principles and a continuous mindset of improving your own and others' knowledge.
