Details of the offer

At ASB, we are all about doing what we can to help our customers accelerate their progress by giving them the tools they need to manage their lives and plans for their families and future. Our products underpin our economy and touch people's lives. How we communicate payment and settlement instructions for international payments and high value clearing is changing. The industry is moving to a new data standard, ISO 20022, which will increase speed and data transparency of payments, resulting in more straight through processing. As the bank commences Phase 2 of the ISO 20022 Program, we are looking for a Senior Network Relationship Manager to join the product team to 'run' and 'change' the business. You will be part of a team within the business that will be jointly responsible for ensuring we have the capability and capacity to maintain business and customer services, whilst ensuring the migration to ISO 20022 across channels, systems and operations is managed effectively so that ASB can fully leverage the benefits of data transparency, provide a better customer service and improve operational efficiency - supporting our strategy: simple and easy every day, brilliant when it matters. We have a 18month secondment/fixed term opportunity within Corporate Banking for a Senior Network Relationship Manager, International Payments. As a Senior Payment Network Manager, you will curate and support the performance and operational requirements of our Nostro relationships that facilitate our payments, to optimise the distribution of ASB's International Payments via our Network of Correspondent Banks. You will contribute to the implementation of operational efficiencies, strategic business direction and development of core business processes by sharing and seeking knowledge. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the Bank as well as the wider CBA Group to understand their requirements from a correspondent banking partner. As a key player in the team, you will be responsible for conducting meticulous analysis of RFP responses to produce relevant clearing due diligence reports and recommendations, as well as ongoing monitoring current clearing agreements to ensure they align with Service Level Agreements and agreed Terms & Conditions. It will be essential for you to maintain a thorough understanding of the international banking regulatory landscape to ensure that ASB remains fully compliant with all legal obligations. Furthermore, you will be managing risks effectively by upholding current controls, identifying, and mitigating new risks, and adhering to ASB's Risk framework will be crucial to the success of the role. By promoting a culture of growth and excellence, you will empower both yourself and your colleagues to excel in a collaborative and innovative environment. To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in banking or related financial services, ideally in Product, Risk, Operations or Procurement/Supplier Management functions within Financial Institutions, Global Banking and/or Global Markets business units. A profound understanding of international payments, correspondent banking and SWIFT processes is essential, as well as the ability to navigate and interpret legal documentations pertaining to Nostro accounts and international payments clearing arrangements. You will possess a comprehensive grasp of regulations, legislation, compliance requirements and operational standards specific to international banking. Furthermore, you will excel in collaborative consultation with a diverse range of stakeholders, applying a lens of commercial acumen and risk appetite. A solid foundation in International Payments Products and familiarity with performance metrics is crucial, along with experience in formulating controls, procedures, and metrics to uphold adherence to risk thresholds. Proficiency in strategic problem-solving, stakeholder influence, rapid knowledge absorption, effective time management, autonomous work capability, and superior communication skills to cultivate stronger internal and external relationships are key attributes to be successful in the role.
