Medical Specialists (Healthcare & Medical) St George's Cancer Care Centre aims to be recognised as New Zealand's centre of excellence for cancer services - where patients choose to be treated and where people choose to work.  The centre is equipped with two Elekta linear accelerators (including a brand new VersaHD) and a superficial unit, with Monaco TPS and Mosaiq patient management system. St George's is also the only centre in New Zealand equipped with a state-of-the-art Unity MR-Linac. St Georges has several collaboration agreements with industry and Universities, both domestic and abroad, and is actively involved in product development and research. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking individual to grow their career in a team that is leading the way in cancer care in New Zealand. The role involves providing medical service support to the radiotherapy department on a day-to-day basis. You will also be involved in the training of our registrar and will have the opportunity to take part in the establishment of new techniques and development of our MRLinac service. Research opportunities might be available to the right candidate. Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Essential skills/experience for the role: An MSc or PhD in Medical Physics. Professional registration from a recognized body. At least 5 years post qualification clinical experience. Excellent all-round technical knowledge. Capable of self-directed work. Excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with MR would be an advantage. Familiarity with Elekta equipment(s) would a plus Interest in research and development is desirable.
