They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and executing water-based projects, utilizing their expertise in heavy industry high-pressure systems. The projects in New Zealand will be water based but your experience could come from other sectors such as nuclear, petrochemical or other heavy industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to contribute to meaningful projects that have a lasting impact on communities across New Zealand.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, design, and execution of water infrastructure projects, with a focus on mechanical systemsProvide technical expertise in the analysis and optimization of high-pressure systems, ensuring efficiency and reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, budgets, and timelinesOversee procurement activities, including vendor selection and contract negotiationsConduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure project successProvide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and developmentEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards throughout all project phasesRequirements
