Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Software Engineering at The University of Waikato, Waikato Take the next step in your Software Engineering career as you display your strong leadership and progress toward your research goals. This full-time role will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as the supervision of honours, graduate and postgraduate students. As a senior academic leader will be expected to maintain professional associations, establish, and promote collaborations with the industry, and contribute to outreach events.
Salary will be in the range of $103,303 to $135,517 for a Senior Lecturer, or for an Associate Professor is $137,213 to $151,343 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based at our Hillcrest Campus.

Ko wai koe? - Who are you? We are seeking to grow our Software Engineering department with the addition of a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor who enhances our research strengths, creates engaging teaching experiences, and contributes to our outreach programmes.
You will hold a relevant PhD in Software Engineering and have demonstrated teaching and research experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including supervision of Masters and Doctoral students. Additionally, experience of leading a team of academic colleagues is strongly preferred as well as a willingness to contribute to both our Hamilton and Tauranga programmes.

The Software Engineering group has research strengths in areas such as human-centred computing, internet of things, and software correctness. Software Engineering is closely aligned with the Computer Science programme where we have a strong presence in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security. We offer a range of Software Engineering programmes, from the fully accredited Bachelor of Engineering to PhD level.
