The run is 6 months in length, after which you will move to the main House Officer team. Predominately, the House Officer remains in ED seeing Orthopaedic patients but will help in fracture clinics when free. The role is Monday to Friday 0800 - 1600 hours and is categorised as a D Band. You'll be part of a dedicated team providing comprehensive elective general orthopaedic services, as well as 24-hour Orthopaedic Trauma and Orthopaedic Emergency care. The scope of your work will be varied and will include exposure to a range of subspecialties including the following: Joint replacement Spinal surgery Paediatric Orthopaedics Foot and Ankle Surgery Sports Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery Occupational Medicine Our ideal candidate will have the following: Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
