Newly created role to make your ownAre you motivated to help people?Based in our Petone office close to the beach and shopsThis is a full time position of 40 hours per weekThe remuneration range for this role is $96,592to 136,366, ideally looking to appoint between $96,592 to $113,638(including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experienceThe opportunityYou willsupport the leadership of health and safety across the Wellington Water capital programme to ensure that people are protected from health and safety risks (Internally known as Senior Health and SafetyAdvisor - NDD).Andwork closely alongside the key stakeholders within Wellington Water, as well as our consultant and contractor panel organisations to drive a continuous improvement of health and safety practice and culture.You will get to:Build and maintain strong working relationshipsActively identify health and safety risks across NDDand the capital programmeLead the review of health and safety processes and procedures and implement improvementsComplete project and site safety observations, facility inspections and auditsPromote a strong health and safety HSW culture with all workers, consultants, contractors, and leaders.About youTo be successful in this role you will bring:A Health and Safety qualification (Level 3 and above)Ideally bring5+ years' experience in a health and safety roleExperience with: Identifying risks and implementing controls - Carrying out investigations - H & S reporting and monitoring tools - H&S reporting and monitoring tools - Supporting managers and staffAn open communication styleResilient to change and uncertainty / ambiguityHave a current NZ Driver's license.BenefitsJoin us as we embark on a transformative journey in the water sector.
