About the Role
This is a partnership role, working with several of our business units, including our core infrastructure businesses who are busy building and maintaining our electricity, gas and fibre networks in the Auckland area. Collaboratively manage the end to end lifecycle for each strategic supplier within this business unit, from supplier selection, performance management, through ongoing vendor governance and risk management. As our industry is transforming, so is the current way of operating our supply chain strategy and strategic partnerships are at the core of this change. Work with your stakeholders and peers to identify opportunities to add financial value to Vector, explore new supplier relationships, ensuring quality and supply are not compromised.

Who are we looking for
Bring with you your extensive previous experience in procurement and ideally a CIPS qualification. Apply your knowledge of managing the commercial and contractual aspects of supply relationships either from sourcing or sales side. You’ll have demonstrated experience of running complex RFX/tender processes and contract negotiations for significant supply relationships ($5m + p.a range).
You’re an adept negotiator with the ability to draft contracts and service levels, and have a sound understanding of risk management processes. You’re commercial, are renowned for building strong and effective relationships and know how to communicate with and influence people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
