Supporting the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for producing a range of financial and management accounting information to support Allegion New Zealand business objectives and reporting requirements. You will work collaboratively with both the Financial Controller and Financial Planning Analyst to prepare budgets and forecasts whilst also partnering with key stakeholders within the business on assigned projects and support senior management by offering insights and financial advice.This senior position will include the following responsibilities and duties:Deliver high-quality financial reporting, ensuring its accurate, and completeness, and providing insightful analysisTake accountability for improving existing process and play a key role in automation projectsMaintain a compliant control environment in line with internal and external rules, standards, regulations and policiesBe a business partner to the wider business by building strong working relationships with other functions, understanding their needs, and providing support as appropriateSo Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?We are looking for a Senior Accountant with an innovative mindset who is passionate about improving existing processes. To be successful in this role it is essential that you have a passion for process improvements as the business embarks on automation projects and improving the overall efficiency of the finance function.Above all, you will be curious, analytical and someone who can build relationships with every part of an organisation. This role will work with other finance, business unit and regional finance leaders to compile and review annual budgets so you will need to be a very strong business partner and be able to add value through your analysis and insights.You will need to be CA/CPA qualified to be considered for this role with at least 5 years experience under your belt working in commercially focused accounting roles. A Big 4 background would also be looked upon very favourably, as will any background working for a large complex business with an overseas parent.You will need to have Advanced MS Excel skills, experience using Modelling and Forecasting tools and some exposure to Power BI would be a real advantage as the business looks to deploy this more in the future. Manufacturing industry experience would also be highly desirable as well as any exposure to SOX requirements. This is a key role in the organisation so your ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders will be important. Your ability to present financial results and insights to senior stakeholders will also be key so excellent verbal and written presentation skills are needed in this role.
