ABOUT THE ROLE: We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our close-knit team based in Penrose. This role will give you an end-to-end business view and is an opportunity to grow into the Financial Controller role in the future. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely financial support, as well as other key responsibilities including:
2IC to the FC where you will lead 2 direct reportsMonth end journals and consolidation workBudgeting and forecastingIFRS 16 leases managementFixed assets managementPreparation of year end income taxes and management of indirect taxes FX hedges managementAssist the Financial Controller in various other financial tasksYou will also assist the team in providing compliance advice and support to the company, including internal policies and procedures, and compliance with statutory accounting/taxation standards ABOUT YOU: This role is a true stepping stone to paving an established career path within Laminex and the wider Fletcher Building Group. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and be a qualified Accountant Overall 3-5 years financial accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years' experience in commercial space, ideally trained at a reputable CA firm prior to thatProficient in financial reporting and tax standardsMust have advanced excel skills, and advantageous would be Power BI data modelling and visualisation skills Your proactive and innovative approach will be key to your success, as will your ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organisation with a variety of stakeholdersYou will have experience or a willingness to work with various systems while we look to implement SAP in the near futureYou will be someone who is thorough with high attention to detail, a super organised approach and ability to prioritise your workload with efficiencyYou will be a team player who is open to challenging themselves and the processes around them As part of the Fletcher Building group of companies, you will be able to leverage experience and relationships from across our organisation and achieve success for yourself and our company.
