Senior Estimator

Due to an increase in projects around the North Island, one of New Zealand's largest infrastructure construction companies (specialising in infrastructure construction, focusing on reinforced concrete projects such as Bridges, Wharves, Water Treatment Plants, and Pipelines), has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Estimator to join their team.Location - Can be based in Auckland or TaurangaSalary - $130,000 - $150,000About youHave at least 5 years' NZ experience as a civil estimator (ideally in roading and contracting)Expertise in electronic tendering systems CCs candy, cost x or similar - candy experience is desirable but training will be provided.Can prepare quantity takeoffs in an efficient and accurate mannerCan submit accurate documentation in a timely mannerCan work multiple tenders and liaise with clients as necessaryProficient at resolving issues with clients and working at providing the best solution for them and shows initiative and can be self-managedA strong team player with an ability to communicate well with othersAbout the roleActively participate in the management of tenders / business developmentEstimating costs of projects after researching / compiling relevant detailsParticipate the functions and activities of the estimation department.Confer with project managers, engineers, designers, subcontractors, vendors, etc. on adjustments or changes needed to be made in cost estimates to help determining the feasibility of a project.Contribute to estimating policies and systems, compile relevant reports, and assist in guidelines for future estimates.Determine the scope of work and contents of the project estimate by preparing a list of bid quantities and items.If you tick the above boxes and would like to find out more about this opportunity, please apply or feel free to reach out to Rebekka on ******.#J-18808-Ljbffr
