Senior Estimator (Highbrook)

Metro Performance Glass is New Zealand's leading supplier of glass to the building industry; we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and service, focusing on our customers' needs and our ability to lead the market. We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Highbrook.
In this role you will be liaising with customers regularly to deliver competitive tenders to the Upper North Island market. With no two days / projects the same you will be exposed to a wide variety of commercial and large residential construction projects.
Your key responsibilities will include;
Prepare tender responses to meet closing deadlinesPre-project tender process, technical support, budgeting, estimating, contract negotiation, variations, payment claims on commercial projectsMeasure work from plans using established professional techniques and prepare schedules of workProvide detailed pricing estimates and quotation schedules in response to customer requests using costing databasesLiaise with glazing and technical teams to prepare competitive, and detailed pricing packagesDesign assistance of glass structures and be the subject matter expert for technical queries for project managersYour strong attention to detail and accuracy combined with your knack for figures will ensure your success in this role. Your ability to solve problems, juggle multiple priorities and communicate effectively with people from all walks of life is what will set you apart from the rest.
