Senior Establishment Project Manager at Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections), Wellington (Te Whanganui a Tara) Play a significant role in supporting one of NZ's largest Government departmentsWork with a great and supportive teamBased in our Head Office, WellingtonMo te tunga |About the role This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to gain new knowledge and experience in a unique property portfolio. In this role you will be managing projects across a wide and varied network including Correctional Facilities, Leased and Owned Office space and residential like homes/units. The key deliverable of this role will be to drive capital projects/programmes through the corrections initiative lifecycle where you'll utilise your experience to scope, define and plan projects and then draft the investment business cases for governance.
Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) provide a range of services to support the delivery of Corrections' core business and ensure we can maintain consistent service delivery regardless of external events and crises. The group comprises four key areas: Asset Management, Procurement, Public Private Partnerships and Digital
To be successful in this position you will have extensive experience as a Project Manager in assets, property or construction disciplines, including managing large scale, complex projects. Additional requirements include but are not limited to;
Ability to build and lead bespoke / tailored project teams and proactively manage key project stakeholder relationships.Excellent interpersonal skills and proven negotiation experience, including the ability to influence and build consensus across a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in skilfully identifying risks and issues, and successfully implementing plans to resolve these to ensure project delivery.Experience within P3M3, change, benefits framework and drafting investment cases.If you're interested, we are open to discussing flexible working options with you. The mid-point of the salary range is $143,461 per annum and the full range(85%-120%) is $121,942 - $172,154 per annum.Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
