Te Turanga | About the role As a Senior Environmental Planner this role offers the opportunity to thrive and evolve across a range of exciting opportunities, you will be able to use your knowledge and experience to mentor and develop at team of highly skilled planners whilst collaborating on cross- functional projects and fostering valuable internal and external relationships. The role is pivotal in facilitating development initiatives that enhance the well-being of Tauranga's residents. You'll be responsible for diligently assessing resource utilisation and ensuring its appropriate allocation, ultimately contributing to the creation of sustainable communities. The fast-paced nature of our processes will provide you with the gratifying experience of witnessing first-hand how your contributions shape the growth and transformation of our city.
Key elements of this position will include: 
Processing a range of resource consent applications, including the complex ones and making recommendations that are robust and legally defensible.Providing expert planning advice to internal and external stakeholders.Reviewing Planner's reports and making decisions under delegation.Applying a high degree of competency in negotiation, facilitation, coordination, and conflict resolution.Mentoring within the team and contributing to continuous improvement through business improvement initiatives.Participating in and leading initiatives to foster and enhance the awesome culture of our Team.This is an exciting role for an experienced planner and we are open to considering part-time work hours for someone with the right skills and experience.
Nga Pukenga | What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
