DescriptionWhat you'll do As a Delivery Lead, you will drive complex multifaceted projects across a complex technical environment. As a natural leader you will have a strong talent for inspiring, motivating and coordinating both Engineers and Executive stakeholders. As we are launching our new strategy with a strong focus on scaling our business, you will play a pivotal role by delivering projects on budget and on time, coordinating resources with what's happening at a wider business level.
You will work with the Technology and Product executives to optimise and deliver value to our customers that is strategically aligned with our product roadmap and company vision.
This role is the first role dedicated to the Delivery of Projects, which means we will need you to bring your sharpened project tools and apply SCRUM/Agile principles and methodologies with a pragmatic approach, while engaging with key stakeholders.A desire for continuous improvement with a positive and self-reliant attitude is essential to meet the expectations around the productivity, cohesion, and happiness of each individual in your team, including yourself.
Responsibilities Introduce Agile Project Management Methodologies across ArloStrategise, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organisational objectivesOversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reachedWork closely with project sponsor and cross-functional teams to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiativesManage project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiativesIdentify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendorsDevelop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectivesWork with other managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the departmentAnalyse, evaluate, and overcome projects risks, and produce project reports for managers and stakeholdersEvaluate and influence the performance of the team and individuals to optimise delivery, team cohesion and satisfaction.Refine internal processes within and across teams and departments to ensure the right people are engaged at the right times to support productivity or remove impediments.Communicate progress, status and risks to key stakeholders in a timely and effective manner so potential impacts and dependencies can be mitigated.Lead, grow and develop direct reportsEnsure the team are continuously developing and contribute to their learning and development plans so we have the skills we need now and in the futureAssist with recruiting, training and onboarding new members of the teamRole model our values and set clear expectations by giving clear and honest feedback, and promptly address any performance or behavioural issuesBuild and promote a positive working environment for the team.A minimum of 3 years managing large complex projectsA minimum of 5 year team lead with management responsibilities.Extensive experience in stakeholder management Executive to Board levelRobust understanding of modern DevOps principles and cloud architecture delivered on AWS or Azure.Infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation)Microservices and Containers (e.g. ECR)Serverless approaches (e.g. Lambdas/SQS)It would be an advantage to haveUniversity degree in related fieldAgile/SCRUM, DevOps or Software Engineering certificationsExperience working with Learning and/or Event Management systemsApplying OWASP principles throughout the design and development of applications, using the least privilege approach to minimise risk.
A solid understanding of scrum and agile best practices applied with a pragmatic balance between process and efficiency.
A track record of stakeholder management and communication across all levels, including internal and external clients or vendors.
Comfort in a startup environment where you need to move quickly and independently while wearing many different hats.
