About the Role We're on the lookout for a driven, self-starter to join our inspired and ambitious Operational Excellence team as our Senior Data Scientist. This role will take the lead in the development of best practice methodologies for data science in TSB. It will go beyond just the analysis of data and provide input of value adding business insight by providing support and recommendations on best practice strategies.
About You You'll be a change agent that thrives in a fast-paced changing environment and actively accepts, embeds, and reinforces continuous change. Your demonstrated ability to identify potential areas of improvement will drive accuracy, timeliness, and efficiencies for analytical initiatives.
Your positivity and self-motivation will mean you are proactive and detail oriented. A one-team approach is important as you will work closely with the wider business to identify and scope analytical requirements using a consultative approach.
Some key areas of responsibility include:
Manage team workflow for your specialist division.Lead the development of initiatives where a data science approach can help support various hypotheses to improve commercial outcomes for TSB where possible.Manage and execute development of proof-of-concept analytical initiatives.To be successful in this role you'll need: Post graduate level qualification in statistics, modelling, or related field.5+ years' experience in development within ETL & BI toolsets such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL analysis & reporting services.Experience building predictive models to analyze and interpret large and complex datasets.Experienced in commercial environments with high transaction and batch processing loads.Who are we?
