An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join a dynamic Credit & Risk team within the banking industry. What you'll do: As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Credit & Risk team. Your primary focus will be on managing the credit portfolio in collaboration with Credit Managers. The job responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Credit Managers to proactively manage the credit portfolio, ensuring adherence to required standards
- Leverage advanced financial modelling skills to assess credit applications, term sheets, and covenant controls
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of portfolio sector performance and provide insightful market research summaries
- Assist Credit Managers in resolving daily credit queries and facilitate the credit decisioning process
- Prepare a variety of reports required by the bank, offering clear insights that inform strategic initiatives
- Demonstrate flexibility by embracing tasks assigned by the department and the bank
- Adhere to the bank's policies and procedures at all times
What you bring: - Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Extensive experience in corporate and institutional level banking analysis within local banks is preferred
- Strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation capabilities
- Solid understanding of local and China markets is advantageous
- Proficiency in both written and verbal English
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
