An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join a dynamic Credit & Risk team within the banking industry. This role offers the chance to contribute significantly to business growth, credit portfolio management, credit processes, and overall credit asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with Credit Managers, perform financial analysis, and play a pivotal role in maintaining robust credit standards. What you'll do: As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Credit & Risk team. Your primary focus will be on managing the credit portfolio in collaboration with Credit Managers. The job responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Credit Managers to proactively manage the credit portfolio, ensuring adherence to required standards
- Leverage advanced financial modelling skills to assess credit applications, term sheets, and covenant controls
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of portfolio sector performance and provide insightful market research summaries
- Assist Credit Managers in resolving daily credit queries and facilitate the credit decisioning process
- Prepare a variety of reports required by the bank, offering clear insights that inform strategic initiatives
- Demonstrate flexibility by embracing tasks assigned by the department and the bank
- Adhere to the bank's policies and procedures at all times
What you bring: - Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Extensive experience in corporate and institutional level banking analysis within local banks is preferred
- Strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation capabilities
- Solid understanding of local and China markets is advantageous
- Proficiency in both written and verbal English
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
