Our client is seeking a Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor to join their dedicated team in Wellington. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global humanitarian network, working towards improving the lives of vulnerable people and enhancing community resilience.
What you'll do: Lead and support development of portfolio and general communications and engagement strategiesProvide expertise and advice to other groups, directorates, and functions as an organisational business partnerCollaborate with colleagues to ensure the organisational needs are met and expertise sharedManage work allocation and coaching for Advisors Communications and Engagement on a day-to-day basisDevelop impactful content for internal and external communications across multiple channelsSupport engagement and effective communication with the public and service users, using a variety of contemporary channelsOwn and manage the web and social media channels, including developing and refreshing contentIdentify, collect and produce communication content (written, video and image) for delivery across multiple channels including social media. What you bring: A tertiary qualification in journalism, communications or other relevant field, with experience working in a communications, media or journalism roleExperience in the development and implementation of successful communications strategies and plansRecord of professional achievement, with an ability to challenge thinking and represent and articulate ideasExperience using a wide range of online and social media tools, ideally with some videography and photography skillsExperience writing content for varying channels, media, web, social media along with technical copy editing and proofreading skillsStrong writing skills with an ability to make relevant connections while maintaining focus on long term objectivesHighly skilled in building and managing effective relationships and networks, building collaborative, trusting and respectful long term partnershipsEmotional intelligence and strategic thinking that enable effective communication, empowerment and influence with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.We're searching for leaders making an impact and shaping tomorrow.
