The primary purpose of the role is to:provide trusted and valued, specialist support and advice to the Lead in the delivery of the operational expectations of the team.work alongside the Communications Team Lead and other senior leaders to enable the delivery of the organisational priorities of Te Whatu Ora/Health NZ, and to drive continuous improvement in processes and practices within the team.provide specialist knowledge and advice into the development and delivery of communication and engagement strategies, services, and support to realise operational goals of the team.find new and effective ways to enhance our communications channels.Experience in internal and external Communications work. At least 5 years' experience working in roles commensurate with this communication discipline, with a minimum two years working closely with leaders. Has general experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams where several communications activities (i.e., media, design, strategic planning, stakeholder management), are needed to achieve an optimal communications outcome.Experience and proven success engaging and influencing diverse stakeholder groups and success developing and delivering projects/plans that have had a positive impact on organisations.Able to draw on experience in varied environments with experience in high-pressure fast-moving environments where success relied on building effective relationships and delivering sound advice.Analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve problems, think critically, and apply judgement to providing trusted, sound advice and contribute to decision-making; an ability to multitask and confident in delivering work to deadline whilst under pressure.Experience in assimilating new information quickly and write and talk about issues clearly and concisely with different audiences. Has organising, planning and time management skills so able to multitask, reprioritise and react to issues that arise whilst keeping calm and professional in demanding situations.A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
