What you will do.Our Water team in Wellington is fast growing and we are looking for an established Civil Engineer with experience in wastewater, stormwater and/or potable water systems to join us in delivering exciting projects across New Zealand, with a specific focus on the Wellington Region.As a key member of our multidisciplinary team this opportunity would see you providing support and mentoring to build the capacity of junior Engineers. You would also be responsible for preparing concept and detailed civil engineering designs, producing technical and commercial specifications, drawings, and schedules on a range of projects.You would work in close partnership with our Graduate, Senior and Principal Engineers, the client and contractors through design phases and into construction monitoring.Your contribution will help to continue to grow our presence in the Lower North Island as well as improve access to three waters infrastructure, public health, and the local environment through the projects we deliver.This role will be pivotal in further developing our existing team especially in using your skills and experience to mentor more junior members of the team.It's a fantastic opportunity to progress your technical and management skills through your project work and build on-site experience, with great prospects for career progression as the business continues to grow.Candidate SpecificationAbout You:Your passion for delivering high quality water projects for our communities, and the ability and energy to work in a team environment is highly desirable. Additionally, you will have strong industry experience in one or more of potable water, stormwater and wastewater. You should also have experience working in multidisciplinary teams, supporting and mentoring junior engineers, and a working understanding of hydraulics in civil design of three waters reticulation.
